A new health insurance portal allows you to buy your health coverage online with just a few clicks.
The portal, which is launching on HealthCare.gov on October 31, will allow consumers to purchase their insurance plans through online portals that are set up in a number of states, and then provide the plans to their insurers in an exchange, according to a press release from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The HealthCare Marketplace has been an ongoing project for the federal government since the ACA passed in 2010, and the agency hopes that it can make insurance more affordable for consumers.
The Healthcare.gov website is currently in beta, and there’s no indication that it will be available anytime soon.
But as we’ve reported, the website is expected to launch soon, and it’s already being used by a number, including insurers.
