Myanmar is still reeling from a devastating earthquake in the capital, Yangon, which killed more than 700 people and injured another 3,500.
Now, it has a new government in place that’s promising a “complete overhaul” of the health system.
That includes the reinstatement of the old system of government-sponsored insurance, and the government has vowed to increase the number of people who can enroll in the government-run National Health Insurance (NHI).
But that doesn’t mean that everyone is happy about it.
