The sport bible is reporting that a new policy is expected to be introduced by Covid-19 free healthcare provider Covid.
The news comes as Covid announced plans to open a new hospital in Melbourne’s CBD.
The move was welcomed by the Australian Health Alliance (AHA) as it would mean Covid could now provide high-quality healthcare in a location where people live and work.
It comes just days after Covid said it would open a major facility in Melbourne to serve its growing network of patients.
The announcement comes a week after Covids announcement that it had raised $1.5 billion to expand its network in Australia, bringing its total investment to $2.3 billion.
More than 90 per cent of patients at the new hospital will be treated in a single-bed unit.
The new hospital is expected in Melbourne, which will be managed by the Covid Group, a division of the American health insurance giant Covid Immunotherapies.
There are currently six hospitals in Melbourne where Covid will open its new Melbourne hospital.
One of the four is the former Covid Health Services in Port Melbourne, where Covids medical team has been serving patients since June.
The other two, the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne Hospital for Women, are currently run by Covids sister firm Medpac.
